What to Write on a Flower Card: 60+ Messages for Every Occasion

Holding a bouquet of white flowers

The best flower card message is short, personal and sounds like you. One or two sentences is enough: say why you are sending the flowers, add one specific detail about the person, and sign your name. Below are more than 60 copy-ready messages you can use as they are or tweak in a few seconds.

Every flowers&gifts order includes a free classic message card. If you want something a little special, a designed card is ₱99. We print your message exactly as you write it, so check the spelling before you place the order.

How long should a flower card message be?

Keep it to about 20 to 40 words. The card is small, and a short message is easier to read and more memorable. If you have a lot to say, write the heart of it on the card and save the rest for a call or a letter.

Tagalog and Taglish flower card messages

  • Maligayang kaarawan, Nay! Mahal na mahal ka namin.

  • Para sa’yo, kasi deserve mo ‘to.
  • Happy anniversary, mahal ko. Ikaw pa rin, araw-araw.

Sympathy messages

  • With deepest sympathy. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
  • In loving memory. May these flowers bring a little comfort.
  • We are so sorry for your loss. Praying for strength for your family.

Should I sign the card or send it anonymously?

Sign it, unless the surprise is the point. A signed card lets the recipient thank you, and it avoids the awkward “who sent this?” moment. To stay anonymous, simply leave your name out of the message. If a few people are giving the gift together, list everyone’s names or sign it as a group, like “From the Marketing Team.”

Quick tips for writing your card

  • Use their name or nickname at the start. It instantly feels personal.
  • Mention one specific thing: a memory, an inside joke or what you admire about them.
  • Avoid long paragraphs. Short lines are easier to read on a small card.
  • Double-check names and spelling. We print the message exactly as written.
  • Add the occasion if it is not obvious, like “Happy 25th” or “Congrats on passing the boards.”
